Role: BOFE user (see access matrix)

Objective: As a BOFE user, I want to block customer account in case of some problem, or pending investigation.

Reason: Unlike Freezing and Unfreezing account, the Block action is intended for Back-Office and will immediately prevent customer from making any transactions or withdrawals.

Functional requirements:

Block Account (initiated by bank)

In Customer Account screen, option to “Block account” will be available and this action is subject to the maker-checker process, including valid ticket id.

When successfully executed, Customer will:

  1. get notification that his account has been blocked and is advised to contact the customer support.

  2. information message / banner in app is present to notify customer, that the account is blocked, along with call to action button suggesting calling the customer support.

With blocked account, Customer will not be able to do any kind of transaction operations:

  1. Transfer funds

  2. Withdraw funds

  3. Pay with card

Products will be limited and customer will not be able to:

  1. Create, open or close pocket

  2. Take overdraft

  3. Take personal loan

Planned transactions will fail:

  1. Planned payments

  2. Bill payments

Repayments are not affected:

  1. Subscription payments

  2. Personal loan repayments

Incoming payments are not affected

Pocket interests are not affected and accrued

Unblock account

“Unblock account“ button will be available on Customer account page for blocked accounts. This action will be subject to the maker-checker process, including valid ticket id.

Acceptance criteria: Upon clicking on “Block account“ button, user will need to fill in ticket id, as this action is subject to the maker-checker process. Afterwards customer account will have limited functionality as described above. “Unblock account“ will be present and upon clicking and following the maker-checker process, block will be reverted and standard account features will be available.
