The diagrams below will provide a high level picture on how our network is setup on Google Cloud.
The target service on the far right is the only resource that has access to Cloud SQL databases and other persistent stores. It is located in the deepest layer of the infrastructure.
This diagram illustrates how we separate our projects and networks. No two environments share the same project. Each environment – non-prod and prod – has its own dedicated project, networks, and firewall rules.
