SaFi Bank Space : Telephony Design

This is a work in progress document for the proposed SafiBank Telephony Requirement.

Device Information

Asterisk Server:
-Operating System: Debian
-Purpose: Connects Genesys Cloud Edge and 3CX to GSM gateway and PLDT SIP Trunk. Acts as primary call routing device, directing inbound calls to the appropriate destination based on the office landline number, and also as bridge between outbound calls made by Genesys CloudCX and 3CX to GSM Gateway.

Status: Installed and Working

Genesys Cloud Edge:
-Operating system: Windows
-Purpose: Connects to the Asterisk server for telco connectivity allowing all inbound and outbound calls to be routed through the GSM gateway and PLDT SIP trunk.

Status: Installed and Working

Genesys CloudCX:
-IP Address / URL: http://apps.mypurecloud.jp
-Operating System: Cloud-based agent interface.
-Purpose: Contact center solution

Status: Work In Progress

3CX:
-IP Address / URL: TBD
-Operating System: Hosted
-Purpose: Office PBX

Status: TBD

GSM Gateway:
-IP Address: TBD
-Model: xxx
-Number of Ports: 32
-Number of SIMs: 64
-Purpose: Enables outbound calling through GSM network

Status: TBD

PLDT SIP Trunk:
-Provider: PLDT
-Purpose: Enables inbound calling through PSTN network, and back up for Globe SIP Trunk when full.

Status: Installed and Working

Globe SIP Trunk:
-Provider: Globe
-Purpose: Enables inbound calling through PSTN network as a back up for PLDT SIP Trunk when it is full.

Status: TBD

Network Topology
-Type of network: Hybrid
-Number of devices: 6 (Asterisk Server, Genesys CloudCX, 3CX, GSM Gateway, PLDT SIP Trunk, Globe SIP Trunk)
-Device types: Server, Cloud-based application, PBX, GSM Gateway, SIP Trunk

Network Protocols
-SIP

Inbound Calls
-Inbound calls are received through the PLDT SIP Trunk, which is connected to the Asterisk Server.

-The Asterisk Server acts as the primary call routing device, directing inbound calls to the appropriate destination based on the office landline number.

-For example, calls placed to the number 02-8888-2407 will be routed to Genesys CloudCX, while calls placed to the number 02-8866-7575 will be routed to 3CX as the corporate hotline.

-This routing is achieved through the use of routing rules and call routing logic configured on the Asterisk Server.

-This ensures that calls are directed to the correct department or individual, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's communication system.

-In case PLDT SIP Trunk is full, inbound calls will be forwarded to Globe SIP Trunk as a back up, allowing the organization to continue receiving calls. (This is to be determined first)

Outbound Calls
-All outbound calls made by Genesys CloudCX and 3CX are routed first to the GSM Gateway.

-The GSM Gateway is connected to the Asterisk Server, which acts as a bridge between the Genesys CloudCX and the 3CX and GSM Gateway.

-This routing is achieved through the use of routing rules and call routing logic configured on the Asterisk Server.

-The GSM Gateway enables outbound calling through the GSM network utilizing postpaid accounts with unrestricted calls to all networks. This feature is less likely to be blocked by telecommunication companies due to the GSM Gateway's ability to simulate human behavior, such as sending text messages between SIMs hosted together. This obfuscates the usage of the gateway as a bulk calling system. Additionally, utilizing a corporate account ensures that usage is within the limits set by the telecommunication company.

-When the GSM Gateway reaches maximum capacity, outbound calls are routed to the PSTN network via the PLDT SIP Trunk, which is integrated with the Asterisk Server.

-This routing strategy provides cost savings and redundancy for the organization.

-As an additional redundancy measure, a Globe SIP Trunk can also be utilized as a backup for receiving calls when the PLDT Trunk is at full capacity. In this scenario, the PLDT Trunk will forward calls to a Globe landline number.

In summary, this system utilizes a combination of different technologies and devices to provide a robust and efficient communication system for the organization. The Asterisk Server acts as the primary call routing device, directing inbound and outbound calls to the appropriate destination. The Genesys Cloud Edge connects to the Asterisk server for telco connectivity allowing all inbound and outbound calls to be routed through the GSM gateway and PLDT SIP trunk. The Genesys CloudCX, 3CX, GSM Gateway, and PLDT SIP Trunk all work together to ensure that calls are directed to the correct department or individual, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's communication system. Additionally, a Globe SIP Trunk may also be utilized as a backup to provide additional redundancy and ensure that calls are not missed.
